Shane Dwight
Roots Music artist Shane Dwight has proven over the course of his eight CD’s to be a singer, songwriter, and guitarist to be reckoned with. A native Californian, whose initial offering, 2002’s Boogie King, showed him to be a riff heavy Blues Rocker, Dwight has now settled into a comfortable Americana groove shaped by his move to Nashville in 2009.

Evidence of this progression first surfaced with his breakthrough release Hundred White Lies that flashed Nashville influences. The response was immediate and positive. “Lies” debuted at # 9 on the Living Blues Radio Chart, was # 3 on the Sirius XM Satellite Radio Bluesville Chart, and remained on the Top 40 Roots Music Radio Chart listing for more than 6 months. Shane Dwight had definitely arrived!
While “Lies” set the table, it’s his latest, (2014), release, This House, that provides the home cookin’. Dwight’s music remains Blues based throughout but allows a diet of southern sensibilities. His presentation of Blues, (“Steppin’ Stone”, “Sing For Me”), and straight up Country (“Crazy Today”) certainly hit their mark, but it’s the Country Soul inflected ballads that resonate with the listener and show a maturation not apparent in previous works.
